Black Panther Mood Board

    The mood board I created for Black Panther conveys many emotions and senses of tension, leadership, fear, and strength. For starters, the movie is mostly about strength and leadership as throughout the movie characters fight to rule the city of Wakanda. The board features a rich color palette of deep blacks, vibrant gold, and other earthy colors. The black symbolizes power and elegance, mirroring T'Challa's roles as a "king" and "protector". The gold represents wealth and tradition and adds another layer of advancements to Wakanda. Lastly, the earthy colors also evoke a connection to the land and heritage, reminding the audience what the roots of Wakanda really are. In addition a sense of strength, dominance, and leadership is conveyed through the mood board as symbols such as the Black Panther suit are shown above. The suit, with it's sleek design and advanced technology shows the physical strength of The Black Panther himself and his city. Additionally, tension is conveyed through the many two-shots shown in above. You are able to see the characters stare each other down in the pictures above conveying a sense of tension and fear to the audience. This tension serves as a reminder to the audience the ongoing conflict within the movie. Fear is also conveyed through the duals as each character must battle for leadership and a sense of fear is creating through the screen as the audience worries who will win the battle. 

    In conclusion, the Mood Board serves as a representation to the many emotions that are supposed to be conveyed within the film, leadership, strength, dominance, and fear. Each of these visual elements work together to engage viewers with the theme and message. The board not only presents images from the film but tells a story of the ongoing struggle for leadership and pride.
