Final Project Moodboard!!

 

Moodboard for our final media studies project!

        Hello all! In this blogpost, I'm going to be displaying my moodboard for my group's final project. A few blogpost ago, we discussed incorperating thriller elements into a teenage dream style movie. In the moodboard you can see how I incorperated light colors and dark colors to show how the setting of the film will change overtime. The top half of the moodboard is focused on the main character's aesthetic who cares about her looks, wearing all pink, emphasizing her girliness. Near the bottom, I added darker elements to show the thriller elements, highlighting an a evil/psychological intent. In my moodboard, I tried to emphasize the connection between the main character and her boyfriend with her boyfriend being mature, well-put together, and on the football team. I also tried to show the different locations the film would take place in: The main character's house, outside, and possibly at a resturant. The time of these locations will vary between day, sunset, and night. 

    In addition I also showed how each character will dress. Since the film is taking place in the 2000's the fashion will from around that time, with guys wearing varsity jackets, and girls withing jumpsuits, jeans, and tight tops. For the darker scenes we want to use more ambient lighting such as candles, to contribute to the highschool romance theme and thriller elements. However, for the upbeat happy scenes we want to use high-key lighting such as sunlight or bright lights that will emphasize the main-character's girly personality.
